James A. Wells, Esq.

Mr. Wells graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a degree in Chemistry. He obtained his Law Degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Law Review and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif. He served as Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division in 2004-2005 and served a three year term as a member of the PBA Board of Governors. He is also active in the American Bar Association, having recently been selected as a Fellow for the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section of the ABA. Mr. Wells was recognized in 2005, 2006 and 2007 as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star, a distinction reserved for the best lawyers in Pennsylvania who are either 40 and under or who have been practicing 10 or fewer years. Mr. Wells has successfully tried cases before juries throughout Pennsylvania. As a result of his science background, he is ideally suited to handle complex litigation matters.

The courtroom is not Mr. Wells’ only stage.  As a singer and guitar player, he has performed in various cities across the country with “The ProBonos”, a band comprised of other attorneys who, but for their day jobs, still dream of being rock stars some day.  Mr. Wells also enjoys traveling, running, playing volleyball and football.
