Julia Haines, Esq., Managing Attorney
Ms. Haines grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and always knew she wanted to be a lawyer, or at least her parents always hoped she would be, so that the energies she placed in arguing with them would one day be helpful to someone. She has been practicing law for over ten years in a variety of capacities, the latest with her husband as managing attorney at the firm. This is the most challenging and rewarding of any postions Ms. Haines has ever held in her career, though she enjoys the mix of practicing law and continuing to develop her marketing and strategic management interests, which she honed during her MBA program at Temple's Fox School of Business.
Ms. Haines has a wide variety of interests, including travel and outdoor activities, both of which she actively pursued prior to having children and continues to attempt to pursue today. In 2000, Ms. Haines traveled alone through Malaysia and Thailand for approximately three months. The experience of traveling in Third World countries alone helped to increase Ms. Haines' own self-awareness and provide a deeper understanding of her own strength and weaknesses, which in turn has made her a better advocate for her clients and a more well-rounded and focused business manager.
Ms. Haines contributes to the Philadelphia community through her volunteer work and as a member of several organizations, including Chair of the Public Interest Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association (2005); a volunteer for Philadelphia VIP (an organization that provides pro bono work to indigent clients); a volunteer for the Support Center for Child Advocates; and a volunteer for the Philadelphia Council for Community Advancement.
Ms. Haines' law practice is focused on addressing intellectual property issues of entrepreneurs and artists. Much of her time, however, is spent on the "business of the business" as she is the one who works to ensure clients' needs are being addressed and met by the Haines & Associate team.
